The Newgate Gap Incursion is a guided chronometric playback which shows a clear example of successful SubCelestial Fissure creation using the Fisher Method. Non-linear partitions, numbering six in total, have been set up, each one having a distinct nostalgic ‘theme’ presumably relating to the five participants. D. Quinnock, seemingly in charge of the experiment, observes from a second location. The experiment culminates in the creation of multiple fissures and subsequent Temporal Incursions of a non-figurative nature. Neither Quinnock nor the participants have been seen or heard from since and the underground locations are currently inaccessible.

For ease of reference, we have named the partitions as follows: Partition 1: The Classroom; Partition 2: The Alleyway; Partition 3: The Birthday Party; Partition 4: The Lounge; Partition 5: The Playground; Partition 5: The Arcade.

Details of the Fisher Method can be found here, and it is worth pointing out that each partition clearly follows the prescribed instructions of re-creating a past event in order to generate a feeling of extreme and sustained cognitive displacement. This is a quintessential example of the method, though as we will see, there were errors in its execution.

The identity of the participants remains unknown as all of Quinnock’s records remain missing, save for the physical and electronic data we have recovered indirectly. Though there are six partitions, there are appear to be only five participants, the sixth’s whereabouts throughout the chronometric playback remains unknown.

It cannot be assured for certain whether the participants were willing or not, however it is virtually impossible to force someone’s involvement in the Fisher Method as it requires directed thought and requires a long duration of involvement. Since the participants do not appear to have been mistreated, we will loosely hold that they had volunteered for the experiments, though it cannot be ruled out that Quinnock deliberately misled the participants as to the nature of the experiments.

As far as we can determine, there appear to be four distinct locations shown in the Newgate Gap Incursion. Two locations are above ground - the Newgate Gap passageway itself and the nearby area around the Lido. There are then two subterranean locations. The first is a large underground hangar or bunker, occupied by D. Quinnock and used apparently as an observation area. The second is a space occupied by six non-linear partitions, with five participants. Recording equipment, lighting and a metal support structure are also present. The experiment clearly required extensive planning and financial backing.

The precise location of the two subterranean areas is subject to a degree of speculation, although from the activity shown, it can be inferred that they are located somewhere beneath the Newgate Gap area. As we will see, the result of this series of experiments resulted in a complete sealing off of these underground spaces. Direct exploration and investigation is now virtually impossible, though in the future ground-penetrating radar may yield further information.

The location of any access points from above ground is also unknown at this stage. The presence of caves and tunnels under the local area is well-documented, although it cannot be discounted that Quinnock constructed these chambers especially for the SubCelestial Fissure experiments (he clearly had the financial resources). However, it is also possible that he discovered and utilised a pre-existing system of caves.

Inconsistencies and Extraordinary Phenomena

The events depicted in the playback warrant detailed examination, and there are numerous inconsistencies regarding the experiments and what we know of the procedures.

At some point, the non-linear partitions apparently become active and subsequently generate multiple artificial SubCelestial Fissures. The duration of the experiment and number of attempts, before activation, is unknown, though it has been established that the Fisher Method can take up to three years to work, making it one of the shortest methods of temporal excursion.

That said, the success of this method is by no means certain and requires a degree of commitment and concentration from the participants which can be difficult to maintain. However, it can be ascertained from the playback that at least four - and possibly all six - partitions lead to successful fissure creation. How the sixth partition might have been successful without a participant remains unclear.

dyzlocation has established that the Fisher Method usually results in minimal Temporal Incursion manifestation and that if there are any, they are normally ephemeral, transient and innocuous. The main risks of this method relate to the instability of the fissures due to the highly subjective catalysts and the artificial nature of their construct.

However it is clear that this series of experiments lead to multiple Non-Figurative Temporal Incursions of two distinct types, plus extreme localised visual phenomena. The two Incursion types have been subsequently categorised.

Non-Figurative Temporal Incursion Type 66A appears pale and glass-like, with numerous prehensile appendages arranged in radial symmetry emanating from a spherical negative space at the centre. Non-Figurative Temporal Incursion Type 66B consists of a series of black appendages of varying length and diameter, emerging from a central globular mass with a translucent carapace.

A further examination of these NFTIs will be forthcoming.

The sheer number of fissures and subsequent incursions is extraordinary, manifesting not only within the partitions as expected, but also in Quinnock’s observation area and the locations above ground. Numerous fissures apparently opened, and many of them are likely still active to varying degrees. An investigation into the locations is warranted, particularly given that the Newgate Gap area is publicly accessible and frequently used as a thoroughfare.

The events of the Newgate Gap Incursion are atypical for the Fisher Method, however combined factors of an unusual nature may provide some explanation.

The number of partitions used in close proximity to each other would certainly have an impact. A participant using the Fisher Method reaches a critical stage of cognitive dislocation, creating SubCelestial Fissures. This in itself is extraordinary to mainstream scientific understanding, but by placing multiple participants and partitions in the same room, it is likely that the sub-temporal architecture (the nature of which we currently know very little) would have been damaged, leading to the results we have observed on the playback.

The presence of traditional contemporary technology, such as the video recording devices, overhead lighting and the extensive computer systems seen in Quinnock’s observation area would have affected the non-linear partitions. By introducing modern elements to what should have been a recreation of localised past time, damage to the sub temporal architecture would have been compounded and exacerbated.

Further, the presence of six large rocks in Quinnock’s observation area is not only perplexing, but very unusual - particularly as they seem to be rotating and hovering with no visible means of external support or influence. How Quinnock was able to achieve this has not yet been determined.

It has long been established that sedimentary and igneous strata have a palpable effect on the phenomena being investigated and can often be a catalyst for chronometric playbacks. It may be possible that Quinnock was combining, or had recently attempted to combine, the Fisher Method with some other technique. The absence of water precludes the Mineral Transference Method.

The presence of anthropic rock in the Newgate area, most notably Pulhamite, would almost certainly have been a factor. Created by artificial means, certain materials contain recycled elements which would have a temporal history incongruous with the directives of the Fisher Method. The results are, as we can see, unstable and unpredictable.

Further attention should be drawn to what we see of the materials presented on Quinnock’s noticeboards.

There appear to be two maps of the Kent area, one subtitled ‘Kent at the coming of the Saxons’. The history of the Kent area, particularly that of the Roman and early Saxon times, is something which we will cover in forthcoming field notes.

The illustrations and accompanying writing can be partially made out and they read as follows:

‘They often manifest in liminal places. They make no attempt to hide as most people can’t see them. High-pitched buzzing. Untranslatable. Little interaction with Anthropocenes or each other. Flesh or machine? Do not define. Their motives are not human. This and the previous page is how they look. They don’t have a name, but they are designated by dyzlocation as NFTI 31. TFTI Transfigurative? (Non-figurative temporal incursion #31).

They do not all look identical, but what life form does? But generally, they are composed of white-silver pearlescent material, some parts are vaguely translucent, but the bubble is virtually transparent. There appears to be something like bioluminescence or LED wiring through five of the appendages. Beneath the bubble, there are rotating light sources…’

From then on, the writing is unreadable. This particular part appears next to a drawing, presumably made by Quinnock, of what he apparently calls NFTI 31, but which bears a resemblance to what we have termed Non-Figurative Temporal Incursion Type 66B. The description is very different, therefore we conclude that this particular Incursion is a different type entirely, one which Quinnock previously encountered and which is not present on the Newgate Gap Incursion playback.

In the written text is an obvious point of interest, that of the very name of our organisation, dyzlocation. The Newgate Gap Incursion occurred on 27 September 2022. dyzlocation did not form until 2025, with its initial investigations beginning only a year earlier. How Quinnock could know of our investigations, the name of our organisation and that we would use this system of designation is not only unknown, but also alarming. It is also notable that within our archive, no such record currently exists for NFTI 31.

Further to this, there is a word-for-word transliteration in printed text of the details of Temporal Excursions as it appears on this very website. Again, Quinnock’s experiments precede the activities of dyzlocation by at least two years and it is only in the past month that the chronometric playback of the Newgate Incursion was recorded. Prior to that, dyzlocation had no knowledge of Quinnock’s activities in such detail and we had already written this section.

Your future is haunted

Visible in the playback is also a key to haunted, which is a coded language used by one Figurative Temporal Incursion with which we are in contact. The dialogue between dyzlocation and this particular FTI is currently ongoing and will be presented in due course. It appears that Quinnock had already conversed with this particular entity, or there is another possibility.

Purely theoretical working models, presented without evidence, are not conducive to dyzlocation's research. dyzlocation set out to examine SubCelestial Fissures and related subjects with a (mainly) phenomenological perspective and anything we present can be backed up with evidence, though not necessarily conclusive proof. Such is nature of these phenomena. That is to say that we focus on the way things appear in a subjective manner to those who experience these phenomena and we then report them. We discount nothing, are cautious of prejudgments and tend to avoid the loaded language, prejudice and assumption which habitually pervade even scientific investigations into unexplained phenomena.

That said, the evidence above suggests that it cannot be discounted that Quinnock somehow had acquired foreknowledge of dyzlocation and our investigations. Given how deeply he was involved in the phenomena of Temporal Excursions this is a possibility, in which case dyzlocation is as prepared as possible for any future (from our perspective) contact with Quinnock.

One other point of note, relating to the above, but expanding in a different direction altogether, is the appearance of the phrase ‘your future is haunted’. This is the tagline dyzlocation uses to remind those who come to this website of the cyclical, non-linear nature of time and history, in particular how the past pervades the future. The phrase is inspired by Derrida’s conception of hauntology. Again, that Quinnock used this tag line before dyzlocation even conceived of it, is something of a curiosity and lends credence to the above theory.

An important feature is the way the phrase is presented, with certain letters crossed out and the remaining characters rearranged to form an image or symbol, which has subsequently been embellished and stylised. This is an example of what is known as sigil magic, a technique developed by Austin Osman Spare, and this is further evidence for Quinnock’s technique of combining different approaches in his work.

The events of the Newgate Gap Incursion ended in disaster, though clearly not in complete failure. The whereabouts of Quinnock and the five unidentified participants remain unknown. Quinnock’s data and equipment remains lost. It is certain that multiple artificial fissures were created and therefore it is very likely that all materials and participants have been subject to physical temporal displacement. Where and when in the sub-temporal architecture they ended up is unknown and the unique characteristics of the experiment means that retrieval may be impossible. The dangers presented n the playback makes repeating the Newgate Gap Incursion extremely unwise.

Similarly, the status and whereabouts of all manifested Temporal Incursions remains unknown. Non-Figurative Temporal Incursions can initiate adjacent phenomena, such as cognitive displacement and cognitive temporal dislocation. These effects can be disorienting for direct and subsequent participants. They are not usual harmful, however given the unique circumstances described in this field report, a benign nature and origin cannot be ascertained.

The Newgate Gap Incursion playback remains a subject of intense scrutiny and debate. Further investigations are ongoing and subsequent field notes will be provided in due course.
